Cosmos of the Mayans
Cosmos of the Mayans: Adobe Illustrator
Xibalba, The Celestial tree and the KuKulkan (winged serpent). Three reoccurring figures in Mayan cosmology, stories and art. This is a piece I did for my 100 elements assignment in Digital Design class where we had to create a piece using no less than 100 objects in Adobe Illustrator. Tell me what you all think.

Introduction
Hello, my name is Jordan Ricks. I am an undergraduate at SUNY Potsdam in northern New York. I am an Art Studio major focusing on Digital Design. I have a strong love for art and a high degree of respect and amazement for ancient art, Mesoamerican and Egyptian particularly. I'm also a big fan of Japanese manga and anime and read + watch them regularly. Aside from art I enjoy all types of music, train in MMA, white water kayak, read, read, study and research. I am a student of knowledge in all it's forms and love to learn anything I don't know already, or think I do know for that matter. My unique personality gives birth to what I believe is unique art.. but I guess you all will be the judge of that. I hope tho use this blog as both a source of critic and a way to share my art with the world. There is just too much to say to be covered in a simple introduction so I guess you will get to know me better as time goes on.
I will be posting a new piece every week along with a brief description. I hope you all enjoy! Thanks for the time!
